San Antonio's Top 3 High-Rise Condo Buildings

There is plenty of luxury in the River City, especially if you’re looking for fantastic views and a short walk to amenities.

1. The Broadway

The Broadway, at 4242 Broadway, is 21 floors of high-rise elegance in the heart of San Antonio. The building features three distinct levels of living, the Central, the Summit, and the Penthouse.

The Central Level, from floors 3 to 15, houses 64 residences between 1,262 square feet and nearly 3,700 square feet. Life in these 1-,2-, or 3- bedroom residences feature three unique finish styles. Residents enjoy keyed elevator access, climate-controlled storage, and an underground garage. Residents in the Summit, floors 16-19, have more room and more privacy. With only four residences per floor, residents live in spacious condos measuring 1,995 square feet to 3,248 square feet. Condos over 2,000 square feet feature a second entrance and all offer two unique finish styles. Residents enjoy semi-private elevator access, individual utility areas, climate-controlled storage, and breathtaking views in four directions. In the penthouse, floors 20 and 21, residents live two condos per floor in spacious 5,257-to-5,800 square-foot abodes, with floor plans built to suit. Penthouse residents enjoy private elevator access, preferred underground parking, and panoramic views of San Antonio, including the downtown skyline. All residents enjoy 24-hour concierge, a resort-style, temperature controlled pool and spa, on-site guest suites, a PRECORE-equipped fitness center, and a state-of-the-art media lounge.

2. Carlyle Condos

Located at 7887 Broadway Street in Alamo Heights, Carlyle Condos feature six floor plans, including the two-story townhouse floor plan and a 6,000 square-foot penthouse, as well as an array of amenities, including steel appliances, floor to ceiling windows, garden bath tubs, premium grade fixtures, and granite counter tops. Rooftop views of downtown complement on-site tennis courts, a swimming pool, a fitness center, and a sauna. The building is tucked neatly into a beautifully landscaped space just minutes from downtown.  In fact, the Carlye’s most attractive feature may be its proximity to amenities such as the McNay Art Museum and the Quarry Golf Club.

3. The Alteza

Perhaps the crown jewel of downtown high-rise luxury, the Alteza at 610 E Market Street, sits atop downtown’s Grand Hyatt, from floors 25 to 33. The building’s 1- and 2-bedroom condos and its penthouse offer stunning, sweeping views of the city and capitalize on the exceptional service of a world-class hotel. The Alteza features imported granite and limestone finishes, glass tile accents in the kitchens, premium-grade kitchen and bath fixtures, and gourmet kitchens with stainless steel Sub-Zero™ appliances. It also features a private elevator to take you home or drop you off in the middle of the downtown, near the Riverwalk and the Alamo. The Alteza won the 2013 Downtown Best Award from the Downtown Alliance San Antonio. Posted by Richard Soto on
