… and Now We Segway to Something Spooky

We know ‒‒ haunted houses and such are supposed to be a Halloween thing. But the ghosts don’t know that. They stick around all through the year, and like all good spirits of the beyond, they like to play at night.

San Antonio at night is gorgeous near the Alamo, River Walk, and missions, so maybe it’s no surprise that whoever’s haunting some of the city’s great downtown places chooses to stay around. And what better way to wave to them than to do it from a Segway tour? Beginning at the Menger Hotel, in the shadow of the Alamo (literally), you can take the San Antonio City Lights Ghost Tour by Segway, a 90-minute cruise through the attractions and find out just what kind of spooky goings-on are really going on. Plus, you get to see the Tower of Americas and San Fernando Cathedral, and other great spots, all lit up under the moonlight. And that’s always a good thing.

Instead of focusing on myths and legends, the founders of this tour went into some of San Antonio's most notoriously haunted locations and conducted interviews to find out just what’s going on. You'll hear first-hand experiences from those interviewees, as well as stories about the Texas Revolution at the Alamo. You will also pass the grand San Antonio Convention Center and visit San Fernando Cathedral, built in 1734 by settlers from the Canary Islands ‒‒ and where you’ll learn about the heroes of the Alamo who are entombed there. You’ll also get a ton of spooky facts from your tour guide and get the chance to take photos ‒‒ maybe even one with a photobombing ghost.

Because it’s a Segway tour, all riders must be at least 14.
