San Antonio Real Estate

The San Antonio real estate picture is rosier than most areas of the United States. On the commercial side, new retail development projects have slowed due to some overbuilding that should rectify itself over time, however, strong demand for San Antonio office space continues.

Residential development continues as well, with a 252-unit luxury loft development under construction in the northwest region, and a 100-unit residential development in the South Texas Medical Center.

What is there about San Antonio that attracts people in droves either to visit or settle permanently, a fact that has grown San Antonio into the second-largest city in the State of Texas? Unquestionably, economic opportunity is the driving force that has contributed to steady job growth, and the city’s overall financial health. Major corporations that are headquartered or have a major presence here include Toyota, Clear Channel Communications, Washington Mutual, Clark American and Tesoro Petroleum, to name just a few. Additionally, the fields of health care, national defense, financial services and tourism have a strong presence in San Antonio and offer additional employment venues.

But San Antonio is not just a place to work. Shopping, dining and entertainment are as good as can be found in any major city, anywhere. Riverwalk, for example, attracts millions of tourists and residents alike, year-round. Riverwalk, (Paseo del Rio,) is essentially an artfully landscaped pedestrian street lined with restaurants, bars and shops and designed so that it winds about the San Antonio River. Seaworld, the largest seaquarium in the world, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, a theme park featuring musical reviews, rides and a water park, and the San Antonio Zoo, as well as cultural venues such as museums and art galleries, as well as numerous outdoor activities such as golf, tennis, etc., are just some of the many ways to relax and have fun in San Antonio.

Newness, amenities such as state-of-the art kitchens, secured parking, workout rooms, convenience of location and more are all contributing factors in the cost of these kinds of residences. San Antonio MLS

There is no more efficient way to search for a real estate property to buy, or evaluate a selling price that is in line with the competition, than the Multiple Listing Service (MLS.) As opposed to a realtor’s MLS, on-line Multiple Listing Services that one can freely access are most often out of date, and many properties listed have long been sold. Why waste your time?

A VIP Realty client has all the advantages of working with a premier real estate agency that can offer buyer or seller our marketing and negotiating expertise, and the always-up-to-date information in our San Antonio MLS.
