Base Brooks City Base is now home to the 311th Human Systems Wing, the Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine, the Human Effectiveness Directorate of the Air Force Research Laboratory and the Air Force Center of Environmental Excellence.
Brooks City Base is now a partnership between the city of San Antonio and the United States Air Force. It is ideally located just 10 minutes from downtown San Antonio, thereby affording the military and civilian personnel there plenty of opportunities and excitement of a large, dynamic city.
The mission of the Brooks Development Authority is to “position Brooks City-Base as a premier location for science, research, technology and business through creative economic development.”
